Quality or Quantity?

Do we Malaysian start to forget about quality? Do us Malaysian know how to measure or ask for Quality?

ALL of us want to make sure whatever that we do for our family is the best. Basically it mean the BEST in quality and safety for everything, regardless it is food, kids education, clothing, car, home and etc.. etc..

Today what is really sad is that.. we never ask the right question about Quality or Safety? Example, when we go to restaurant for family dinner, do anyone ever asked question like how is the food quality for today? ...or is the food serve today is safe? Maybe this is very blunt or senseless but think about it.. does it make sense? Maybe can use a better and flowery sentence but bottom line we asked the right question on Quality and Safety.
Another example, when we buy any electrical appliance for our home. Do we ever ask the question, what is the quality level like do they have SIRIM approved, do they have any other country quality standards certified? What about Safety Standards?

With that 2 examples, if it was never been asked. Then how do we bring the best thing for our family?

However what we often hear is "berapa" which mean Quantity. Like "Berapa biji durian untuk RM10 ringgit?" which translate as  "How many (in quantity) Durian fruit for RM10 ringgit?". And very often we bargain for more as we want to make the most value on our money spent. Do we ever look from their side? When ever there is a business transaction took place, either the buying party or the seller party will naturally engaged in a negotiation process and will naturally make sure it is a win situation for them. Correct?

In that context, if we as a buyer are pressuring for quantity in a product. Do you think end of the day, the seller is able to deliver a good quality in their product? My answer is NO WAY! Just be smart and know the value of the product you want to purchase.

So the question is... you want QUALITY or you want QUANTITY for your family.
If you care and love for your family, please next time when you start buying something like electrical appliance for your home, please start asking for Quality and Safety question to the sales person. Be sensitive and bring the true value to your family with your hard earned money.
